Identifying infestations:

Ants, spiders, and numerous other insects are easily identifiable given the significant risks associated with termite infestations. It is important to monitor potential indicators of their presence, window panes, floor boards, and inside of cabinets are present accumulations of droppings beneath or around affected wood. While termites bear some resemblance to ants, they are taxonomically distinct, classified under the order Isoptera. Like ants, termites are social insects that form colonies and rely on cooperation among colony members for survival. They feed on the cellulose in the wood, predominantly keeping them alive as they grow. The sulfuryl flouride fumigation treatment gas is organically safe and is used to annihilate the infestations upon treatment.

How Fumigation Works

Fumigation begins with tenting, where a canvas tent seals your property from roof to foundation. After confirming all people, pets, plants, and food are gone, a licensed fumigator places the fumigant and a warning agent throughout the building. Once the site is locked and marked with warning signs, the fumigant is activated.

The fumigant will remain in the building for a designated period to ensure it disperses throughout the structure and reaches all areas with a high concentration of  sulfuryl flouride gas, effectively targeting termites or other pests within the building or wood. After this process, the fumigation team will remove the tent and begin aeration. Once the structure has been adequately ventilated, the fumigator will perform air tests to verify that it is safe for re-entry.
